The plot dedicated to house the new complex is situated in Bneid Al Gar on Gulf Street. The Hotel is facing the sea with direct access from Gulf Street, while the Apartments are placed towards the inner courtyard in direct connection to the existing residential complex.
In order to maximize the sea view and to enlarge the northwestern courtyard, the hotel is designed in an “L” shape with double loaded corridors for the inside wing and single loaded corridors towards the sea. It has 20 floors above the ground and 2 basements with hotel services and parking.
Close to the southwestern border near the existing residential complex, the Apartment Building is adjacent to the Hotel, with a separate entrance lobby accessed from an inside yard with car drop off. It has 18 floors above ground with apartments, as well as 2 basements with electro-mechanical spaces and parking.
The materials are used to underline the different volumes and to mark important elements of the composition. The podium in direct visual contact with the public is dressed in high quality stone cladding. The general color is light beige, matching the stone color, meanwhile the lower volume of the two bedroom apartments’ is proposed to be colored in medium red.
The metal structures will be stainless steel and the roof partially covered in green copper cladding.
The general composition is based on variation, with personalized components, offering surprising views from the surrounding.
